DESCRIPTION

This model is made entirely of polycarbonate, designed not to splinter if broken. The temples are soft, flexible and fit comfortably on any head without causing pressure. The lenses are composed of layers of different materials, with each layer serving a specific function:

Firstly, there is a layer with an oleophobic coating that repels water and soft mud.

Secondly, there is an outer layer of a harder plastic, which strengthens the lens and makes it more rigid.

Thirdly, there is a layer of a more elastic polymer, which helps to absorb impacts, further reducing the likelihood of serious damage to the lenses.

Next is the layer that provides colour and opacity.

Fifthly, there is the polarising filter; this filter is rotated by 45°, with the aim of maintaining optimal glare reduction whilst maximising compatibility with LCD screens, ensuring that most models of these screens currently on the market can be viewed correctly.

In sixth place is the UV filter, which guarantees protection against all ultraviolet light—that is, light with a wavelength below 400 nm—and is commonly known as UV400.

Following this layer, a film is added which, like the second layer, helps to absorb impacts, with the added benefit of preventing the lens from shattering and causing further damage should it break; thus, if the lens does break, it will simply shatter into small pieces.

The final layer features a coating that reduces glare on the lens and helps you see true colours clearly, whilst preventing eye strain in very bright environments.

Finally, the lens is treated to improve its resistance to salt water.

It includes a screwless attachment for fitting prescription lenses, which slots into a groove and is removed by pulling.

Like the rest of our models, it offers excellent impact resistance, meaning that with minimal care, this product can last for years.
